CRCA Club Series Standings After Club Race #5

After a very soggy race #5 of the Lucarelli & Castaldi CRCA Club Series we've updated the CRCA competition standings. As there were some questions from membership regarding how Points Races are scored, we remind everyone to read the CRCA Club Series Rules on race formats:

LUCARELLI & CASTALDI CRCA CLUB SERIES FORMATS

  • Scratch: standard finish line based scoring (default race format unless otherwise specified)
  • Points: points are awarded three deep each time passing the finish line after the first lap (5, 3, 1) and five deep on the final lap (9, 7, 5, 3, 1). Most points wins. Tie-breakers: most first place finishes, most second place finishes, most third place finishes and finally finishing position on the final lap. Points race format does not apply to C, M40+ and WDev fields which are always scratch format.
  • Power points: same format as points race but points are also available on each lap after the first on the top of Harlem Hill three deep (5, 3, 1) in addition to the finish line scoring.

As always, full standings are available here: Results & Standings while the rules for the various competitions are available here: Jim Boyd & Team Cup. If you want to participate in any of these competitions be sure to Join CRCA!

JIM BOYD CUP

In the Women's Jim Boyd Cup standings, we see new leader Erica Adelberg (42pts), after 2nd place Kristen Faulkner (41pts) missed out on the last two races in the series. Sara Sjoman (32pts), after several very strong performances recently, has moved in to 3rd place. Sarah Sauvayre, Caryl Gale, and Fabienne Gerard are not too far behind with half a season of racing still left to go, including several more double points open races.

On the Men's side Allan Rego still holds his lead over Victor Gras, though the lead is now down to 10 points with Allan missing the last club race and Vic earning points. Stalin Quiterio is not far behind, and Mike Margarite and Scott Savory are still hanging on to points earned from early season races.

TEAM CUP

In the Men's Elite Team Cup competition Jamison Capital - Cannondale keeps their commanding series lead with 110 points, with Rockstar in second place with 61 points followed by Foundation (55 points) and Dave Jordan Racing (43 points). In comparison on the Women's side the competition keeps getting closer with Dave Jordan Racing maintaining a steady lead at 79pts, with Radical Media gaining at 70pts. CityMD Racing is still in third with 45 points.

B-FIELD COMPETITIONS

In the B-Field Series Leader competition, Conor Delanbanque still holds the lead at 57 points. However, having just upgraded he will no longer be eligible for points in this series. But, is the lead too big to close? Despite points from the last race, the series leaders order remains unchanged, with Romain Leidelinger in second with 25 points just ahead of a whole series of chasers including Jonathan Trevett, Michael Tan, and Henning Schober.

In the B-field Team Competition Good Guys Racing continues to extend their lead with 108 points, and NYCC Racing p/b BGC Partners is still a ways away at 67 points. In the battle for third Rapha Cycling Club (47pts) has surged ahead of RBNY Racing-Verge Sport, Team Patch.com and To Be Determined (all holding between 29 and 27 points).

Tune in next week, as we see if the Dave Jordan Classic (double points) shakes things up in our Club Series Competitions.
