About CRCA

The CRCA is a community organization that brings bike racing to Central Park and beyond. From March to early September, the Club hosts almost twenty races across a variety of disciplines including road races and criteriums. The CRCA is proudly volunteer-run, meaning that Club members power all its activities, from marshaling at races to facilitating check-ins and building sponsor relationships. Every member and every sub-team plays a role in making the clubโ€™s activities possible, contributing to one of the most accessible racing series in the country.

The CRCA holds two categories of races, with some (Club Races) only open to members and others (Open Races) open to all.

CRCA Club Race Series - You must be a racing member of CRCA to participate in this series and associated competitions. The Club Series takes place in New York Cityโ€™s Central Park and it is free for all CRCA Season Pass, Donor, and Juniors members. Basic members pay per race. The Series features several season-long competitions like the Jim Boyd Cup and the CRCA Team Cup.

CRCA Open Races include some of the most well-attended races in the Tri-state area and are open to all.

Registration happens in advance via Bikereg.

There is no day-of registration for any CRCA Open Races.

New Racer Events - CRCA also hosts a number of events focused on racer development. These events are open to non-CRCA members.

The Development Series features fields at Club and Open races. The Club also hosts two Beginner Race Clinics for Women and one for Men.
