How CRCA Membership works

CRCA is a volunteer run community organization. For a small fee and a pre-determined volunteer contribution to the club, CRCA members have access to the Club's famous CRCA Club Series in Central Park as well as the Club's comprehensive year-round coaching program and a variety of other events and benefits.

CRCA Membership Tiers

There are four tiers of CRCA Membership. The Season Pass membership for the CRCA Club Series continues to be the most cost effective means of participating in a NYC race series. Each new Season Pass and Donor member will also receive a professional timing chip to improve accuracy of results and efficiency of race mornings. The chip will be picked up along with your race number, and it is yours to keep for as long as you race as a CRCA member.

Membership is open now! Click here to join.

Marshaling AssignmentS

To make it possible for the club to hold races in Central Park, each racing member must marshal during the racing season, which runs from March through November.

Marshals are required by the NYC Parks Department to be stationed on the Central Park course to ensure the safety of racers and other park users. Marshals also serve as ambassadors of the club for those who stop to ask for information.

Once you have joined, login to schedule your dates. Please refer to the Marshaling section of the website for additional details.

New Racers Skills Coaching Session

Before participating in the CRCA Club Series all new club members who are USAC category 4 and Novice riders must participate in a free New Member Skills session to learn essential bike handling skills for staying safe in a race. Check for the next session on the Calendar.

Order the CRCA Kit

All CRCA members are required to race in kit featuring the CRCA logo in order to participate in the CRCA Club Race Series (exceptions are granted for jackets during the cold early season races).

Riders unaffiliated with one of the Club’s various Sub-teams will have two options for compliance. New members may purchase the traditional yellow or blue CRCA Club Jersey/Kit, or they can attach an official CRCA logo to both shoulders of any existing jersey that otherwise meets USAC Rule 1J5 (any blank retail jersey that does not have another team, club, event, or organization’s name or logo will suffice). Logo placement shall comply with CRCA Sub-Team Rule 9.

Heat-transferrable CRCA logos will be available for purchase at each Membership Number Pick-up event and at every Club Race.

Additional information on ordering the 2020 CRCA Club Kit will be published soon.
